Train Station Park (Parcul Gării) is a large urban park in front of Constanța Train Station, laid out when the present station and surrounding district were developed around 1960. The park covers roughly 4.5 hectares and is arranged with broad paths, mature trees, lawns and recreational areas between the station and Bulevardul Ferdinand.
Its most distinctive feature is the kinetic fountain created by sculptor Constantin Lucaci. Designed in stainless steel and stone in 1971 and inaugurated in 1973, it was Lucaci’s first kinetic fountain and became one of the best-known features of the station area. Its sculptural metal elements were designed to work together with moving water rather than functioning as a conventional ornamental basin.
The rest of the park is relatively simple, with tree-lined paths, seating, lawns and play areas. Saint Stephen Church stands along one side, while the railway station forms the dominant building at the southern edge.
