Villa Cerchez (Vila Cerchez) is a historic residence in the old center of Constanța, built around 1920 by architect Grigore Cerchez as his own home.
Cerchez had previously designed the nearby Villa Mihail C. Suțu, and his own residence uses some of the same Oriental and Moorish influences on a much narrower, taller building. Red brick dominates the exterior, with projecting balconies and decorative arches adding depth to the façade. Around one of the upper windows, four small columns introduce Neo-Romanian details alongside the more Oriental character of the design.
The original layout included a technical basement, an apartment and servants’ rooms on the ground floor, with additional apartments arranged on the upper levels.
