Alba Iulia Train Station (Gara Alba Iulia) is the main passenger railway station in Alba Iulia, in Alba County. The station is located south of the city and serves regional, interregional, and international train routes.

There are two railway companies operating trains running to and from Alba Iulia Train Station:
- CFR Călători is Romania’s national railway company and the largest operator of train routes at Alba Iulia Train Station, including regional lines, long-distance services to Bucharest North, Timișoara North, Cluj-Napoca, Arad, Sibiu, and Iași. and international routes to Budapest (Hungary) and Vienna (Austria).
- Regio Călători also operates a regional line between Alba Iulia and Zlatna.

Buying Train Tickets At Alba Iulia Train Station
You can buy your train tickets for journeys with CFR Călători directly at one of the ticket counters or vending machines inside the train station, via certified travel agencies, or online via the website of CFR Călători or their mobile app. Regio Călători also has a ticket office at the train station, but you can also buy tickets online via their website.
Getting To And From Alba Iulia Train Station
The railway station is located south of the city which is about a 15-minute walk from the southern entrance of the citadel and a 25 to 30-minute walk from Union Square.
You can also get to and from Alba Iulia Train Station by bus. The main bus terminus of the city buses is in front of the train station, so practically al routes have a stop here. Bus tickets can be purchased from the ticket kiosk or vending machine at the bus stop, or via SMS. A single-journey ticket costs 3.50 lei and is valid on all lines within the city (zone 1) for 60 minutes.
There is also a taxi stand in front of the train station and ridesharing apps Bolt and Uber are also available for rides in Alba Iulia.
