The Italian Church Of The Most Holy Redeemer (Biserica Italiană Preasfântul Mântuitor) is a Roman Catholic Church, located at the busy Nicolae Bălcescu Boulevard in Bucharest.
The church was built between 1915-1916 in the Lombard-Romanesque style with red bricks and is owned by the Italian government. The church’s design is based on the Church of Santa Maria Grazzie in Milan. Several earthquakes caused severe damage to the building, but restorations have brought the building back in its original state. The Italian Church is surrounded by gray apartment blocks, which create a strong background.
