The Drapers’ Bastion (Bastionul Postăvarilor) in Brașov is part of the remains of the fortifications of the medieval city. The bastion is located on the southwestern corner of the old town, just north of Tampa Hill.
The bastion was constructed between 1450 and 1455 in an elliptical form with four levels and a diameter of 16 meters. The Drapers’ Bastion also has a connection to the Furriers’ Bastion. There are plans to add a glass dome on top of the building and turn it into a museum.
