Where To Stay
Brașov offers a compact and highly walkable accommodation market anchored by its medieval Old Town.
The area surrounding Piața Sfatului and the Black Church is the primary destination for travelers, featuring boutique hotels, renovated heritage properties, and apartments housed within historic Saxon buildings. This central core is best suited for those prioritizing immediate access to the city’s major architectural landmarks, vibrant pedestrianized streets, and concentrated dining scene.
Beyond the historic center, the neighborhoods of Schei and the newer developments bordering the base of Tâmpa Mountain provide a quieter atmosphere. These areas are characterized by a mix of traditional guesthouses and modern residential apartments, often offering a more authentic feel.
While some properties in these higher, peripheral areas require a short incline walk, they are generally well-integrated into the city’s overall structure, ensuring that the main commercial and cultural sites remain easily accessible.
