The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Romania is located in the historic building of the Former Franco-Romanian Bank (Fosta Bancă Franco-Română) in the historic old town of Bucharest.
The building of the Former Franco-Romanian Bank dates to 1927 and resembles a late eclectic style, with a cupola on the corner. It was designed by the architect Cristofi Cerchez, who also designed the Nicolae Minovici Folk Art Museum. Today it houses the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Czech Cultural Center.
