The Mântuleasa Church (Biserica Mântuleasa) is a Romanian Orthodox church on Strada Mântuleasa in Bucharest. It is dedicated to the Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
The church and the street in which it stands are named after the wealthy merchant Manta, who owned the land that was on the outskirts of the city at that time. His wife Stanca and his sister Maria built the church in 1734. Over time, the church was restored several times, which was needed especially in the early 20th century and after the 1940 earthquake.
The Mântuleasa Church is built on a cross-shaped plan and measures a length of 22 meters and a width of 10 meters, and its tin-covered dome reaches a height of 18 meters. The church has a typical Brâncovenesc architectural style. Its portico has three frontal arches and one arch on each side, resting on cylindrical brick columns. Above the entrance is a painting of the patron saints and on its sides are paintings of the Saints Nicholas and Stylianos.
