The Făgăraș Municipal House of Culture (Casa Municipală de Cultură Făgăraș) is a public cultural center on Strada Mihai Viteazul, close to Făgăraș Fortress and the historic center of Făgăraș. It serves as one of the city’s main venues for performances, festivals, exhibitions and community cultural activities.
Its program covers a broad range of arts and education, including theater, music, dance, folklore and visual arts. The institution also organizes courses and activities for children and young people, with groups dedicated to subjects such as ballet, traditional dance, modern dance, singing, instruments and theater.
The House of Culture also plays a wider role in preserving and promoting the traditions of Țara Făgărașului, regularly supporting local festivals, cultural events and amateur artistic groups. Among its established ensembles are the Ceata Făgărașului folk-dance group, the Andante children’s choir and the Thalia theater company.
The building itself forms part of the modern civic and cultural center immediately south of the fortress, alongside several of Făgăraș’s principal public institutions and gathering spaces.
