The Inocențiu Micu-Klein House (Casa Inocențiu Micu-Klein) is a historic house in Făgăraș, standing close to the Saint Nicholas Church. Built in 1727 in the Transylvanian Renaissance style, it is remembered as the residence of Bishop Inocențiu Micu-Klein during the years when Făgăraș served as an important center of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church.
Micu-Klein became bishop of Făgăraș in the early 18th century and used Saint Nicholas Church as his cathedral before transferring the episcopal seat to Blaj in 1737. During his years in Făgăraș, he emerged as one of the most important political voices of the Romanians in Transylvania, repeatedly demanding greater civil and political rights for a population that formed a large part of the principality but lacked equal representation.
The house therefore preserves a direct connection with an important stage in both the religious history of Făgăraș and Micu-Klein’s wider political activity. Its relatively modest scale contrasts with the nearby church and fortress, reflecting its original role as a residential building rather than a ceremonial institution.
