The Botoșani Military Church (Biserica Militară din Botoșani) is an Orthodox church in Botoșani built between 2003 and 2008 within the grounds of the Botoșani Military Circle. Dedicated to Saint George and Saint Stephen the Great, it serves the city’s military community as well as other worshippers.
The foundation stone was laid on March 31, 2003 by General Theodor Frunzeti, with the construction overseen by Colonel Nistor Găitan and military priest Ștefan Cezar Grădinaru. The church was built with contributions from personnel of the Ministry of National Defense and other military units of the Botoșani garrison. The main structure was completed within the following years, while the interior frescoes were painted between 2006 and 2008 before the church was consecrated on November 2, 2008.
Built of brick in a style inspired by the churches of Stephen the Great, the church has a compact traditional form with a tall central roofline and fresco decoration throughout the interior. The iconostasis and choir stalls were carved from oak by craftsmen from Neamț County. A separate bell tower was added later and consecrated in 2018.
