Arad International Airport is a small international airport serving the city of Arad in the historical region of Crișana in the west of Romania.
Flight Connections At Arad International Airport
Arad International Airport currently only serves cargo flights and seasonal charter flights to holiday destinations.
Facilities At Arad International Airport
Since the airport operates very few daily flights the facilities at the airport are somewhat limited and the opening hours of most services depend on the flight schedule.
Free wifi is available inside both the departure (T2) and arrivals (T1) terminals. A small cafe bar, an information desk, and a mother and child room are located in the departures hall.
Getting To And From Arad International Airport
Arad International Airport is located about 4 kilometers west of Arad and can best be reached by car, (pre-booked) taxi, or transfer as there is no public transport to the airport. Car rental is also available (see below).
By Taxi
Due to the limited number of daily flights at this airport there are not always taxis waiting at the airport, so it’s best to pre-book a taxi or private transfer to be guaranteed a ride. Ridesharing apps Uber and Bolt are also available to find rides to and from the airport.
By Private Transfer
Since taxis are rarely waiting for impromptu passengers at the airport, it’s best to pre-book a private transfer to your hotel or other destination online. This way you will be guaranteed that a dedicated driver will be waiting for you when you arrive at the airport. This is also convenient because you won’t have to worry about getting cash, wait for a taxi and haggle about the price because your ride is pre-booked at a fixed price.
Parking At Arad International Airport
Free short-term (P1 and P2) and long-term (P3) parking is available at Arad International Airport.
