The Bușteni Town Hall (Primăria Bușteni) occupies a historic former hotel on Bulevardul Libertății in the center of Bușteni. The building was originally Hotel Bușteni and formed part of the new civic center created here between 1887 and 1889, alongside the Royal Church, the town school and a group of villas.
The development of this civic center coincided with a period of rapid change in Bușteni. Improved road and railway connections were bringing increasing numbers of visitors to the Prahova Valley, while new public buildings and hotels began to give the small mountain settlement the character of a developing resort. Hotel Bușteni was one of the buildings created during this early phase.
Bușteni’s municipal administration was originally housed in another building nearby, which was demolished in 1967 to make way for the Caraiman hotel complex. The former Hotel Bușteni subsequently became the municipal headquarters and continues to serve as the town hall today.
Despite its administrative use, the building still retains the appearance of a late 19th-century resort hotel, with a broad symmetrical façade, decorative window surrounds and a prominent roofline facing Bulevardul Libertății.
