Bistrița Bus Station is the main long-distance bus station in Bistrița, in Bistrița-Năsăud County. It is located next to Bistrița North Train Station and serves regional and intercounty bus and minibus routes to other towns and cities.
There are several different private bus companies for regional and long-distance travel and not all buses leave from this bus station, so it’s always good to check the details for your specific route with the bus company directly.
Getting To And From Bistrița Bus Station
The bus station is located next to the train station, to the northeast of the center of Bistrița. By foot, it’s a 15 to 20-minute walk from the Central Square (Piața Centrală) in the historic center.
You can also get to and from the bus station with the local bus. The bus stop is on Strada Rodnei in front of the bus station and several of the city buses stop here. Single-journey tickets are 1.80 lei and can be purchased inside the bus or via the mobile app TMX Transport Bistrita. There is also a taxi stand in front of the train station and ridesharing app Bolt is also available for rides in Bistrița.
