The Bazilescu Church (Biserica Basilescu) is a Romanian Orthodox church located opposite the Bazilescu Park in the București Noi suburb in the northwest of Bucharest.
The foundation stone of the church was laid in 1898 but the chapel was initially only used as a mausoleum for the Basilescu family, the founders of the church. Ecaterina Basilescu (1900), Lidia Basilescu (1933), Nicolae Basilescu (1938), and Margareta Vladoianu-Basilescu (1961) are buried in the basement vault of the church. In 1922 the church was sanctified and in 1937 Clement Popescu was appointed as the first parish priest by the founder Nicolae Basilescu.
The architects were George Mandrea and E. Kaparovski, and the internal paintings were executed by the Danish painter Age Exner. In 1945-1946 some restorations were carried out during which the stained glass windows were installed.
