Craiova North Bus Station (Autogara Craiova Nord) is the largest bus station in Craiova, in Dolj County. The bus station is located next to the train station and serves mainly long-distance buses and minibuses to nearby towns and other cities in Romania and abroad.
There are several different private bus companies for long-distance travel and not all buses leave from this bus station, so it’s always good to check the details for your specific route with the bus company directly.
Getting To And From Craiova North Bus Station
The long-distance bus station is located next to the train station in the northern part of the city, about a 30-minute walk from the historic center.
You can also get to and from the bus station with the local city buses which stop in front of the train station. Single-journey tickets for use within the city are 3 lei and can be purchased from the ticket booth at the bus stop or via the mobile app Craiova Transport.
Taxis are also relatively inexpensive and if you can’t find a taxi at the bus station, there’s also an official taxi stand in front of the train station. The ridesharing apps Bolt and Uber are also available for rides in Craiova.

At the bus station there are a few kiosks, cafeterias and a bakery. There are also public toilets, an ATM and an indoor waiting area at the nearby train station.
