Vaslui Summer Theater (Teatrul de Vară Vaslui) is an open-air performance venue in central Vaslui, with a large tiered amphitheater facing a permanent stage. It is used for concerts, folklore performances, film screenings and other seasonal cultural events.
The theater was inaugurated in 1989 as a substantial new venue with around 1,500 seats in the outdoor amphitheater and an additional 150-seat multipurpose hall. Its program was conceived broadly from the beginning, combining stage performances, music, dance and cinema. The venue continued to host major events after 1990, including the Rock-Chance festivals in 1997 and 1998.
Years of limited maintenance later left the complex badly deteriorated, and by the end of the 2000s it was no longer suitable for regular performances. Rehabilitation work carried out in 2012–2013 returned the amphitheater to use, after which it again hosted concerts, festivals and open-air screenings, including editions of the international Hora din Străbuni folklore festival.
