Saint Spyridon Church (Biserica Sfântul Spiridon) is a historic Romanian Orthodox church in Bârlad, built in its present masonry form between 1822 and 1825. It was founded by members of the Sturdza family and apart from Saint Spyridon, it is also dedicated to the Annunciation.
A smaller church already stood on the site by the beginning of the 19th century, close to the Sturdza family property. Safta Sturdza oversaw its replacement with the present masonry building, with Gheorghe Oprișan also contributing to the work. In 1827, Safta Sturdza and her son Alecu placed the church under the authority of Neamț Monastery.
A major fire in 1914 destroyed much of the interior, including the iconostasis, choir stalls and a number of church objects. Repairs followed, and the interior painting was restored in 1922 by C. I. Ștefănescu, with further work carried out in the following decades.
The church underwent another substantial reconstruction from 1988 onward. Parts of the walls were rebuilt and consolidated, the trefoil form was emphasized, a new dome was added and the interior was repainted in fresco. The marble floor and choir stalls were renewed, while the bell tower and surrounding parish buildings were also altered.
