The Bârlad Municipal Stadium (Stadionul Municipal Bârlad), historically known as the Fepa 74 Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Bârlad with a capacity of around 2,000 spectators, located in the Public Garden. It was the home ground of FEPA ’74 during the club’s most successful period, including its seasons in Romania’s second division during the 1980s and early 1990s.
The stadium was developed on municipal land with support from the FEPA ’74 enterprise and contributions from local residents. The factory team rose through the county and third divisions before winning promotion to Divizia B in 1984. FEPA ’74 later returned to the second tier for the 1991-92 season, while home matches during its strongest years attracted large crowds to the stadium.
A separate Bârlad football lineage developed through Rulmentul, whose origins went back to Dinamo Bârlad in the 1950s. That club later gave way to FC Bârlad, which played at the stadium in the 2000s. FC Bârlad won promotion to Liga III in 2007, spent two seasons at that level and dissolved in 2009.
The stadium itself became part of the FEPA company’s assets after the communist period and was sold with the enterprise in 2004. Bârlad municipality recovered the property in 2008, and it is now operated as the city’s municipal stadium.
