The Ascension Church of the Lord Mehala (Biserica Înălțarea Domnului Mehala) is a Romanian Orthodox church in the Mehala neighborhood of Timișoara.
The church was designed by the architects Victor Vlad and Adrian Suciu and built between 1925 and 1937 in a neo-Byzantine style. The church is built of brick and although officially a church, it resembles a cathedral due to its imposing size with a central dome and six towers.
The Ascension Church of the Lord Mehala is a remarkable landmark in the Mehala area, which was a separate commune from Timișoara during the Middle Ages. The name Mehala was given to the neighborhood during the Ottoman occupation and means suburb or slum.
