The Medieval Weapon Museum (Muzeul de Armelor Medievale) is a small weaponry museum inside the historic citadel of Sighișoara.
The museum displays a collection of medieval weapons showcasing the development of weapons used in and around town throughout the ages, from swords and axes to gunpowder firearms. There is also an oil painted portrait of Sighișoara-born Michael Freiherr von Melas (1731-1806), who became a general for the Austrian mounted troops and fought against Napoleon Bonaparte’s army at Marengo on 14 June 1800.
You can buy a separate ticket for the museum, or buy a ticket for all three museums, including the History Museum of Sighișoara inside the Clock Tower and the Torture Chamber.
