The Țiriac Collection Auto Gallery (Galeria de Automobile Țiriac Collection) is a museum with a collection of remarkable historic cars in Otopeni, Ifov County, just outside of Bucharest.
Ion Țiriac is a former professional tennis player from Brașov, who became a coach and businessman after his retirement as an athlete. After the fall of the communist regime, he started several businesses and founded Ion Țiriac Bank, the first private bank in post-communist Romania (now UniCredit Bank). Țiriac was pretty successful in his ventures and became one of the richest people in Romania and an avid car collector.
In 2013, the private car collection of Ion Țiriac became open to the public as a museum. With 400 distinct models, the Țiriac Collection is one of the most remarkable car collections in the world. The oldest model is a Hurtu 3 1/2 Quadricycle from 1899, of which only 7 still exist today. The museum is also the only one in the world that has all of the first 7 Rolls Royce Phantom models. Among the collection are also vehicles previously owned by Sir Elton John, Bernie Ecclestone, and Sammy Davis Jr.
