The historic house on Sándor Petőfi Street number 59 in Miercurea Ciuc is the birthplace of András Nagy. Nagy was a famous Romanian-Hungarian physicial, publicist, and local historian. He was born in this house on 19 September 1905 and died on March 2 1982 in Sâncrăieni, a village south of Miercurea Ciuc.
In 2005, a plague was installed on the house to commemorate András Nagy.
