The Former Giurgiu South Train Station (Fosta Gară Giurgiu Sud) is an early-20th-century railway building on Șoseaua Portului in Giurgiu. Built around 1920, it served the railway network connecting the city’s southern industrial areas with the Danube port, whose tracks still run beside the property.
After the building ceased to serve its original railway function, it was converted into residential accommodation. A large coat of arms of the Romanian People’s Republic above the entrance marks its use during the communist period. The former station has since fallen into disrepair, with its deteriorating facade and adjoining buildings preserving traces of its railway past.
