The Roman Arenas (Arenele Romana) is an outdoor summer theater in Carol I Park in Bucharest.
The theater is one of the buildings that were built in 1906 as part of the Romanian General Exhibition dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Carol I as the king of Romania. The building was designed by the architect Leonida Negrescu, who also collaborated on the design of the Romanian Athenaeum.
Renovations and modernizations of the Roman Arenas took place in 1966 and 1981, and over time, the capacity was expanded to 5,500 seats. Sfinx Experience is the scenography company currently exploiting the theater.
