Prince Nicolae’s House (Casa Princepelui Nicolae), also called Steinbach House, is a historic monument and the former residence of Prince Nicolae (1903-1978), the brother of King Carol II of Romania. It is located near Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest.
The villa was designed by the architect Alfred Popper and built in the early 20th century. In 1921 it was transformed and expanded giving it the refined Neo-Romanian architectural style it has today. In 1925, the villa was bought by Prince Nicolae, the second son of King Ferdinand I and Queen Maria.
Today, the house is a private property and can’t be visited.
