The National Arena is the national football stadium of Romania, located in the National Park of Bucharest in the capital. The stadium is owned by the Municipality of Bucharest and is the home ground of the Romanian national football team and Liga I club FCSB, but also hosts the yearly Romanian Cup Final and other matches.
The stadium was built between 2008 and 2011 on the same ground of the former national stadium that had been demolished to make space for the new venue. The new National Arena has a retractable roof that can cover the playing surface. It has a capacity of 55,634 which makes it a UEFA Category 4 venue, and as such, it hosted the UEFA Europa League Final 2011-12 between Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.
