The Ion Mincu House (Casa Ion Mincu) is a historic monument and the former residence of the famous architect Ion Mincu in Bucharest. The building now houses the headquarters of the Order of Architects from Romania (Ordinul Arhitecților din România).
The original house belonged to the architect Gaetano Antonio Burelli, who sold it to Ion Mincu in 1890. The house has a traditional composition of a cellar consisting of two vaulted rooms, a ground floor, and an attic. It is built with brick, wooden floors, and timber roof trusses.
Mincu expanded the building by adding a body in the garden, resulting in an L-shaped plan. He also remodeled the existing building and its facades, which represent one of the first examples of civil architecture in the Neo-Romanian style in Bucharest.
Ion Mincu (1852-1912) was a renowned architect who is considered one of the founders of the Neo-Romanian style. He designed and remodeled several important landmarks and other buildings in Bucharest, including the Palace of Justice, the Monteoru House, Casa Doina, Nicolae Petrașcu House, and the Vernescu House.
