Roset Church (Biserica Roset) is a historic Orthodox church in Botoșani, built in 1826 by Costache Roset and his wife Maria. Its main dedication is the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple, with Saints Constantine and Helena as a second dedication.
An inscription above the entrance records that the church was built from the foundations at the expense of the Roset family. Costache Roset continued to support both the church and its clergy during his lifetime and established a school of church singing beside it in 1851. After his death in 1862, the church briefly became a dependency of Vorona Monastery before the secularization of monastic property in 1864 ended that arrangement.
The church originally stood within grounds of about two hectares, with gardens, trees and several auxiliary buildings. Much of this property was later lost through successive expropriations as surrounding streets and apartment blocks were developed, while one of the 19th-century parish buildings survives across the street. Members of the Roset family were also buried here, including the founders, whose remains were later placed in a crypt in the church wall, and their adopted daughter Maria, whose grave bears inscriptions in four languages.
Built from brick and stone, the church combines traditional local forms with classical influences. Its compact interior is divided into vestibule, narthex, nave and altar beneath a single bell tower, while the limited space produced one of its most distinctive features: a zigzag iconostasis. The church was damaged during the German air raid of April 1944 and underwent major repairs in 1946-1947 without substantially changing its original architectural form. Frescoes covering the interior were added between 2001 and 2003.
