The Greek Catholic Liceum Iuliu Maniu (Liceul Greco-Catolic Iuliu Maniu) is located in a historic building next to the Greek Catholic Saint Nicholas Cathedral on Strada Iuliu Manu in Oradea, Bihor County.
The school was constructed between 1920 and 1925 at the request of Bishop Traian Valeriu Frențiu. The building was designed in a neo-Romanian style by the architect Anton Szallerbeck and consists of a ground floor, two upper floors, and an inner courtyard. In the building functioned a primary school for boys, a primary school for girls, and a normal school for boys.
Under the post-war communist regime, the schools were transformed into a pedagogical school for boys and girls and a school for tractor drivers. In 1992, the High School Theological Seminary of the Romanian Church United with Rome was established in the building, which is now called the Greek Catholic Liceum Iuliu Maniu. Iuliu Maniu (1873-1953) was a Romanian lawyer and politician who played an important role during the Unification of Transylvania with Romania and later died as a political prisoner of the communist regime.
