Unofficially called the “Ivy House”, the building on Vasile Milea Boulevard no. 15 in Arad, Arad County, has become one of the most remarkable icons of the city, due to its walls being covered by ivy leafs.
During the interwar period, it was the residence of Iustin Marşieu, the first prefect of Arad County under Romanian administration. In 1963, it was used as a filming location for the Romanian movie ‘The Foreigner’ (Străinul).
